Be safe. Be seen. Those are my two biggest concerns when I go running in the dark. With a full time job and kids in multiple sports, early morning or late evenings/nights are sometimes the only option for getting in my training runs. Out of all of my reflective gear, this one gets the most use. I usually try several different products before I settle on one I like, but this vest has been a piece of gear that I use for every low-to-no-light run. I bought this vest and never looked at any others. (more…)

When you are a running dad or mom, you understand the challenges of finding time to run. Days, you are stuck at work. Evenings are usually taken over by soccer, swimming, basketball, or baseball practices for the kid(s). That leaves late at night or early in the mornings to shoehorn your runs in. Time, daylight, and sanity are at a premium. Running can help get that third one back, to a degree. (more…)

The Under Armour Ultra Run Cap was an impulse buy when browsing the merchandise at the UA outlet near my inlaws’ house. I had a headlamp that I liked a lot, but the idea of having the lights built into a hat was enough to sell me on this cap. (more…)
